North Texas Railroading Volume 1
Ft. Worth has always been the center of North Texas railroading. At one time, the city was served by MOP, MKT, T&P,
ATSF, FW&D, Rock Island and the Cotton Belt. Today, it's BNSF, UP, KCS, Amtrak, Ft. Worth and Western and the Trinity
Railway Express. The multiple routes of the founding rails still approach the city from every angle, which has been
called "The Tarantula" because it looked like a giant spider, with legs centered on the city. The following
DVD records some of the existing rail action on lines radiating from Ft. Worth to the north. The videos depict not just
through trains, but the job of railroading. Some trains stop and switch industries, others deliver or pick up cars interchanged
between railroads. Commuter trains arrive and depart stations, and freight trains wait in sidings for opposing trains
to roll past. This is railroading in North Texas - it's diverse and colorful, and always interesting. This is a non-narrative DVD. A sit back and turn up the volume DVD. DVD-R media formatted. Dolby
