"Needles Subdivision-BNSF's Desert Gateway to Southern California" takes you on a non-stop tour of all the railfan hot spots and some lesser visited locations as well.  Covering 168 miles across the unforgiving Mojave Desert, the Needles Sub provides railfans with wide open desert running at speeds approaching 70mph as well as trains battling 3 unrelenting grades including the 32 mile climb out of Needles to Goffs, gaining over 2,000 feet in elevation. 

Shot during several trips, we cover Barstow, Daggett, West Newberry, Hector, East Pisgah, Ludlow, Klondike, Trojan Hill, Danby, East & West of Goffs Hill, Klinefelter and Java.
